I have a little bit of a traveling bug (okay, okay it's more of a raging traveling fever). Since I can't, at least in the very near future, make it to Boston or Venice (my top two choices for today), I thought maybe we could at least play a game--you know, to make it feel like we're on a roadtrip.
So, here are two options:
1. Not Friends--name two humans or animals that would not be friends
2. Who Do I Look More Like?--give two candidates who look nothing like you
And in the spirit of getting things started, Who do I look more like? Danny Glover or Crispin Glover?
1) Fish and gerbil. "There's a wall there."
2) Ming Yao or Shaquille O'Neal?
Renae, you definitely look more like Danny Glover. If it weren't for the age gap, I would wonder if y'all were brother and sister.
Sam G. informs me that it's "Yao Ming," not "Ming Yao." All I have to say is that I looked him up on the internet, and I saw "Ming Yao." Unfortunately, I do not watch a lot of basketball, otherwise I would know that everyone calls him "Yao Ming."
So. Sometimes I'm wrong, and that's okay. (I learned that at the RUF Fall Conference.)
Try as I might, I can't come up with anything nearly as funny as your original "who do I look more like"?
Not Friends: Jeremy and pickles. (Pickles are animals, right?)
1) Santa Claus (a big red target) and a Bull
2) Ghandi or Brandi? (It would be funnier if they actually rhymed.)
In interest of symmetry, my sister Anne informs me that it is spelled Gandhi not Ghandi. One of those things I should probably know, but didn't.
I guess I'm used to spelling names with a Gh.

lou and i once invented a game called "which would make you think less of me..." for example:
which would make you think less of me: going to a tanning booth or getting fake nails?
which would make you think less of me: drinking zima or wine out of box?
you get the idea. i think we drove around lincoln for like an hour playing this game. you learn a lot about a person!
Anne, I'm going to say Shaq--just a gut reaction.
RT, pickles are *definitely* animals.
Sam, that's really too close to call.
Charity, that's hiLARious. I can totally see you two doing that! Horrifying confession of the day: I have done all four of those things (why in the WORLD would I admit that you ask?). (Jason, is this even worse than the football revelation?)
Charity--
Hands down, it's got to be drinking wine out of a box. My case?? I guess it would be my mental association with my bizarre, alcoholic uncle and his drinking wine out a box. In fact, it was so interesting because, since he's in denial (as most full-fledge alcholics are), he brought a box of wine over to my Grandpa's house the evening of my Grandma's funeral to "share" with all the relatives there. In reality, what happened was that my uncle casually strolled into the kitchen at least 2-3 times an hour all evening to top off his glass, but he did it in such a way that nobody really noticed. At the end of the evening, my uncle alone had drank at least 3/4 of the box!
So as you can see, drinking Zima is way more forgive-able. Thankfully, I only have to see this uncle about once every 5-8 years.
Okay, for you Renae, I must ask, Who do I look more like: Paris Hilton or CarrotTop?
(BTW, your Danny Glover/Crispin Glover question could easily be turned into a good clue in the "Same Names" category on Jeopardy!.)
