what's worse than hoping to get U2 tickets this morning and having them sell out before you can purchase them?
having the ticketmaster screen pop up with 2 tickets ready to purchase and then taking too long to complete the order and having it time out on you.
*wimper, wimper*

Charity, I feel your pain. I tried for tickets in NYC, Boston, AND New Jersey... sold out each time. My dreams have been crushed!
Just a thought, but you might try checking U2 messages boards and such. I've had luck with tickets being sold out on ticketmaster and finding people who are selling them on message boards. Heck, look on Ebay. Stop at NOTHING to see U2!
All our hopes are on the Pittsburgh show now!

i just missed two sold out shows, too. not U2, rather interpol and nin.
I hope you won't be too mad at me to tell you that I got two tickets to the Cleveland show in December during the presale in 2 seconds flat?
Thanks to 1) $40 I shelled out for a U2.com membership back in January allowing me a presale code 2) friend who tipped me off to load my credit card information into Ticketmaster the day before, giving me extra precious seconds and 3) friends who let me borrow their high speed internet connection...
ellen, i took your advice and loaded my credit card info beforehand and we got tickets for pittsburgh! wahoo!!!

Ticketmaster is definitely in the axis of evil.
check out the inklers.blogspot.com for some greatly inferior comfort concerts. nothing can compare to u2, admittedly.
