The danger of a mobile office

26:coffee, originally uploaded by Mrs. Opus.

Since yesterday's headache did me in for much of the day and since I'm feeling much, much better today, I thought I might enjoy a delicious cafe au lait with a little bit of carmel in addition to a change of scenery. I loaded up my computer and the rather hefty manuscript I'm working on, donned my winter coat--appropriate for the weather outside but not for the heated skywalks--and lumbered along to the coffeehouse. I staked out a spot, and rigged up a work area using a too-small table and a chair for the overflow of papers--quite the production. And then I fired up the ole PowerBook only to find that I neglected to transfer the files from my desktop at home. Boo. So now I'm savoring my yummy carmel cafe au lait, making the blog rounds, and heading right back home.

Nice eye, Bethany. It took me a minute or two to figure out what you were talking about.

Wow. I had no idea what you were talking about, B. I just chalked it up, as usual, to you being smarter than me. :)
