I don’t really know what these guys are looking at, but Simon loved meeting Jersey (our pastor’s dog), and it’s almost certainly a sign that we’ll be getting one of our own someday—but only once Simon’s old enough to help take care of the pooch.
I tried really hard to get an “artistic” shot, but then I realized that in my efforts to do so, I was actually missing out on the joy of the moment. So I snapped a few shots just to document the encounter and then put down the camera to join in the fun.

I know exactly what you mean about missing out on the fun in order to get a artistic shot! Too many times I’ve done that myself. Now, when I find myself getting obsessed, I try to stop and put down the camera and ask myself, “Is this worth it?!” Been enjoying you pics!

I’m with ya. That’s why most of my photos are of inanimate objects - not as much fun to be missed out on when you’re just taking pictures of citrus fruits.
