In warmer weather, Jason and Simon loved to sit on the porch and watch the neighborhood happenings. Now that it’s grown cold, they have to be content with a new perch on the bookshelf in the L’Abri corner. It’s not as much of a sensory experience, but it still keeps Simon’s interest for a time.

The Weeks twins loooooove to look out the kitchen window.  I’m still trying to figure out a way that will allow them to stand up in their high chairs without being a safety hazard, or so that I don’t have to hold them up there. smile  Maybe strapping them to a bookshelf, hmmm ...

This may be a dumb question, but why is it called “the L’Abri corner”?  Are all of your books/notes/CDs from previous L’Abri conferences there?

Not a dumb question at all. When it was the four girls living here, we decided to convert the entryway nook to a sort of study/retreat corner, where we could read or whatever, ala L’Abri. We still call it that, though in theory its main purpose now is for Jason to have a place to listen to music (a rare treat).
