Fun in the water

Yesterday we had a good time playing in the water here at home.

It just doesn’t take that much to entertain a one-year-old (or his parents as long as he’s having fun).

Jason enjoyed teaching Simon the fine art of the samurai.

Today Simon and I ventured to Fremont, and we spent the afternoon at Ronin Park, where they have a spray playground and a baby/wading pool. Simon took a while to brave the fountains, but he had a good time running around (note the sunscreen in his hand; he carried it everywhere).

Though the spray park is new, being at Ronin Park brought back a ton of memories. This was the pool that was closest to our house when I was a kid, and I rode my bike there almost every day in the summers. It looks much the same, though, of course, smaller than I remember.
