What the Kids Are Wearing

We took a picnic at Holmes Lake today to meet some Japanese students that are traveling in the States right now (several of whom we actually met when we were in Tokyo a year and a half ago). We thought it only appropriate that Ian wear the jinbei (traditional Japanese outfit) that we bought for Simon when we were in Japan. So kawaii.

And Simon, of course, wore socks (coincidentally also purchased in Japan) with his summer shoes, because, well, why wouldn’t you? Daddy helped him execute, but the socks and sandals were all his idea. And, yeah, it’s pretty cute too.
